Women’s final will cap Olympic soccer tournament in Paris

The 2024 Paris Games Olympic Soccer Competition will end with the women's final, instead of the men's, for the first time.

The schedule for the Olympic soccer competition was announced by FIFA on Wednesday. The governing body stated that there will not be any double-headers in France and that each match will be a separate event, together with sbobet football.

The women's final will be held at Parc des Princes, Paris on August 10. The stadium where the men's gold-medal match took place the previous day will host the men's final.

The tournament will be held in seven French cities: Paris, Bordeaux Bordeaux, Lyon Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Saint-Etienne, and Marseille.

France will host the tournament opener in Marseille. France's women's team will compete in Lyon on July 25, 2019, the site of the 2019 Women's World Cup final.

"That this should happen in France is especially exciting," Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, stated in a prepared statement. "A country with a long history of excellence in men's and ladies' football, where FIFA recently re-opened an Office to better serve its 211 members."

The U.S. women won the CONCACAF W Championship to secure a spot at the Olympics, while Brazil and Colombia qualified at Copa America.

The men's side saw the U.S. and Dominican Republic earn spots at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship.
