The European leagues will see the return to activity for Mexican players in Europe. Raul Jimenez and Edson Alvarez, two household name , were unable to be present at Ajax and Wolves' opening matches of the 2022/23 season.
Alvarez will be absent due to a suspension from the last season. Ajax will give Keneth Taylor the nod for match against Fortuna Sittard.
Raul Jimenez injury
The Wolves striker was coming off a strong pre-season (two goals) with Molineux, but sustained an injury against Besiktas. According to the English club's medical report, the Mexican striker will not be available for three to four weeks. Therefore, he was not included in the squad for Saturday's match at Elland Road against Leeds United.
