Steph Curry Reacts to Controversial Travel Call vs. Mavericks

The NBA has been putting more emphasis on violations of travel this season, and it was clearly evident during Tuesday night's game with teams like the Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors. There were several travel violations during play, but the most notable came down to Steph Curry that was scolded for the most serious violation of the game at the very last second of the regulation.

In the hopes of tying or even lead the way, Curry went for a step-back three, only to be called for a trip. It appeared as if Curry altered his pivot feet, which made the right call however, the star point guard didn't think it was a move.

In response to questions about the play following the contest, Curry said, "Bang bang. It was a dumb decision by me to not have the layup. I was a bit confused as to what the exact time and score was, but I honestly went to the hero shot. I was not sure that it was a move to the point that you can't let the game go to waste and what am I supposed to say?"

When asked about the incident after the game Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr called for consistency and said "Calls are just calls. Certain calls go the way you want them to, and some do not. I think the NBA is putting a lot of focus on such plays. I'm not sure if it was a travel play or not, I've not seen it, but it's sure to be fascinating to watch for sure. If we're to make that call in the future, we'll have to call it every time as it occurs 30 times in a game and players switch their feet. Therefore, I'm extremely happy that officials will emphasize this, but it's important to remain consistent, stated by malaysia online casino.
