Laura Muir won gold in the women's 1,500m at Commonwealth Games on Sunday (Aug 7). The Scot said that her previous disappointments have only strengthened her.
Muir finished 11th in 1,500m in front of her home crowd at Glasgow 2014 Games. She was unable to compete on the Gold Coast four years later due to veterinary medicine exams.
"I think that I would have told the Laura Muir 2014 'your turn will come'," said the 29 year-old, who won Olympic gold for Britain in Tokyo.
